PRESBYTERY NEWS FROM
THE PRESBYTERY OF SOUTH WEST SCOTLAND

At the recent South West Scotland Presbytery meeting we heard how a  speaker believed we all might better connect with our community.

*Be a walk and talk church -be visible -be inviting. Make your morning prayer "Lord, who do you want me to speak to today?"

Make sure you chat to anybody and everybody in every day life, be approachable.

*He used the acronym ACORN to explain his spiritual practice for mission

A.   Ask- Pray is there someone God wants me to connect with?

C.  Call- After our daily prayer we are called to action

O.  Obey  - Trust and obey as the hymn says. Our greeting might be "how are you?"

Gods call to us is "where are you?"

R.  Report.-   Testimony, Christians together connecting, considering.

N.   Notice. -  What is God doing in the present day? Not in the past, not in the future but concentrate on TODAY.

 Food for thought!
